About the webinar

SAVE YOUR SPOT

On the night of October 11, 2026, attackers remotely took control of refrigeration controllers in hundreds of French supermarkets. They forced fridges and freezers into defrost, pushed temperatures as high as 50°C (122°F), and stretched cycles long enough to delay the alarms.
By morning, stock had spoiled, some equipment had caught fire, and losses had reached tens of millions of euros. Every condition that made the attack possible was known in advance: controllers reachable from the internet for contractor maintenance, end-of-life or outdated firmware, and a legitimate function that no one was watching. Those same conditions exist in stores, distribution centers, and cold-storage sites worldwide. Refrigeration, HVAC, and building systems are often installed and maintained by third parties, accessed remotely, kept in service for a decade or more, and invisible to the security team
Join Nozomi Networks and Mitsubishi Electric to learn how to find, prioritize, and monitor the operational technology (OT) that keeps your shelves stocked.

Walk away with a practical plan

Know what's connected

Inventory every refrigeration, HVAC and building controller across your stores, including those your contractors installed.

Find your riskiest exposures

Identify controllers reachable from the internet, running end-of-life firmware, or relying on default or shared credentials.

Set clear rules for contractors

Define expectations with service providers for remote access, firmware updates and credential management.

Detect misuse of normal functions

Catch a 2 a.m. defrost command, a changed setpoint or an unexpected remote login before stock is lost, across hundreds of sites from one place.

Respond fast if you're hit

Follow the steps national authorities recommend: cut exposed access, then reset, update and reconfigure affected controllers.
